Marathon #4 is in the books and while it was my worst in terms of time (5:01), it will go down as one of my most memorable. I took in too much calories pre race and during the early miles which resulted in 2 bathroom stops (first time I’ve made a bathroom stop during a race) and the feeling of wanting to force myself to vomit from miles 12-20. There were points where I questioned myself and why I chose to run marathons. At mile 20, with the help of a remix of Taylor Swift’s Shake It Off, I decided the I would attack the infamous Hwy 163 hill. I decided that I would get a victory out of this race, no matter how small. I ended up running up the hill and at that time I was one of the only people still running. That little victory and the rest of the weekend with running friends made for an #epicsummerrun! #running #rnrsd #runrocknroll #marathon #hwy163 #hills #tswizzle #shakeitoff #nuunbassador (at Rock ‘n’ Roll San Diego Marathon & ½ Marathon)
