That new gear smell. My @ultimatedirectionusa SJ Ultra Vest 2.0 came in this week. Just in time for a test run during my half this weekend. Wanted to wait for the 3.0 but it wouldn’t ship in time to give me enough training with it before #leonadivide5050. This is still a great vest and I’ve been long overdue for an upgrade. Took the new shoes out for a spin yesterday. After much debate and research, I decided to try out the @altrarunning Superior 2.0. The extra cushion will definitely be welcome during my 50 miler, but they still give a decent amount of ground feel. This week my New Balance MR00s hit 1000. They’ve done me well through weekly training, 2 full marathons, 15+ half marathons through 10 different states. Many memorable miles put in on these babies. I love minimalist running as I am not dependent on the shoe for “support” and the #vibram soles last so long.
