#throwbackthursday to the last time I was able to run in Canada. I was in Toronto for my brothers wedding and even though we were busy I made it a point to squeeze in a run along Lake Ontario. It was only mid-october yet it was 30°F which was definitely freezing for a California boy like myself. Eight months down in 2016 and while my overall mileage is short in comparison to this point last year, I’ve hit my 100 miles/month goal for the eighth straight month. This is one of the more memorable ~100 miles that I’ve run… ever… In addition to my recent 50k, I was able to spend some of those miles running through Rome, Paris, London, and Dublin including a half marathon in each of the latter two cities. Left So Cal around 9:30PM yesterday and made the 7 hour drive up north. Passed San Francisco, where I am slated to run in a few hours, and headed for Windsor to the start of #imvineman. Generally one should rest before a race but it was well worth it to be able to see some friends off and cheer them on during the first part of their amazing journey. Even though I couldn’t stick around to see them finish, I was so proud and inspired by them and everyone who toed the line this morning. I’ve been saying I’m going to do a triathlon, but I think this is just what I needed to spark that fire. Congrats to everyone who finished today.
